Teenagers are much more prone to addiction, when I say much more prone we are talking exponentially staggering. And it is something we recently discover. The teen brain is going to this tremendous growth process, it is getting ready to leap into an adulthood, but is very vulnerable in the in term.
So, whatever neuro addictive things hid it, it tends to get addicted to, that includes cigarettes, alcohol, marijuana. It's tremendously addictive to teenagers, it typically not addictive to adults. So we are finding there are vast differences between teen brains and adult brains that also includes pornography. Kids again get impacted by very preferably and they can't disengage from it. One number to keep in mind when you fire up your courage to confront your child on these things is a child who starts a neuro addictive behavior at age 14 has a high 500% increase risk of becoming a full blown addict. And somebody who waits till 20 for females and 22 for males. And a lot of us adults are confused, particularly us Dad's who has the Playboy stuff underneath the bed and we didn't end up being a crazy porn addict. The printed material of a playboy does not interact with the teen brain the way the it screen of the computer screen, the camera screens. Interact with the animals center in the teen brain like tentacles going in and rewiring the brain. Printed material does not seem to have that capacity, so if your kids got a playboy, congratulations. If he is on porn sites extensively, watch out get involved, get it fixed.
