It's pretty important to stay on schedule when you have a child with Autism, just because they rely so much on regularity and scheduling. It gives them a sense of security to know what's coming next. It's something that helps them. It's also something that you can work with through your ABA, your behavioralist who develops strategy to move beyond that because you can't live completely on schedule, but it is something that helps provide some security for children.
