There are 4 different ways that you can adopt. The first would be an international adoption where you go to a private adoption agency. They help you find a child in a foreign county, you go to the foreign country, bring the child back home with you. The second way to adopt would be to go through the county fost-adopt system where the county has gotten legal custody of the child, because the child has been badly treated. And the county would place the child with an adoptive family that they think is appropriate. The third way would be to go to a private adoption agency who will find a birth mother on the agency's behalf, determine within the agency's client base who best meets that child's needs and they would place the child for adoption with one of their clients. And then the fourth way would be to go to somebody like me who helps clients find pregnant women who want to place their children for adoption.
